Questions about MAP Sensor
Does 4 bar MAP mean 4 bar boost?
No. MAP is absolute pressure. At roughly 1 bar atmospheric pressure, a 4 bar absolute sensor reaches about 3 bar of boost pressure.
Can I use the MAP4 curve for any 4 bar sensor?
No. Equal range does not imply equal voltage calibration. Match the part number, supply, ground and transfer curve before tuning.
Does a sensor include its controller and wiring?
A probe, signal controller, gauge and complete kit are distinct items. Ask for each included component and quantity; do not infer kit contents from a photo.
