Match the vehicle. Match the controller.

02 / CONFIGURATION

Vehicle details

Provide market, make, model, production year and engine code. Describe engine swaps and previous wiring changes independently of the chassis.

03 / CONFIGURATION

Original ECU & connectors

Record the original ECU part number, label and connector identification. Connector-face photos and the relevant pinout can be shared in follow-up correspondence.

04 / CONFIGURATION

Target controller & existing wiring

Identify the target controller hardware revision, current harnesses and the functions you need to retain. State which parts are already installed.

05 / CONFIGURATION

Wiring scope

Distinguish universal wiring, a vehicle adapter, bypass wiring and a loose connector / terminal set. Confirm both endpoints, branches, length and termination.

06 / CONFIGURATION

Fitment review & limits

Review the pin assignments and electrical signals with the matching vehicle and ECU documents. Similar connector shapes are insufficient. A Prado engine designation or another vehicle name is a lead for the inquiry, rather than a guaranteed fitment.

Review checklist

  • Cross-check connector identity, pin numbering and the drawing view at both ends.
  • Record electrical signal, supply, return path and any shielding requirement from the matching manual.
  • Confirm lengths, branch labels, termination and the agreed inspection record.
