SETUP GUIDANCE / START WITH YOUR APPLICATION

The right parts start with the right questions.

Plan the controller, wiring and tuning connection as one setup. These guides help prepare a configuration inquiry.

What to prepare

Your application

  • Vehicle market, year and engine code
  • Original ECU and intended use
  • Record injection, ignition, throttle and idle requirements.
  • List dashboard, transmission and security functions to retain.
  • Separate confirmed requirements from assumptions.

Your existing setup

  • Controllers, wiring, sensors and modifications
  • Software, computer and tuning interface
  • Record sensor labels, range, units and calibration references.
  • Identify the software generation, firmware and computer system.
  • List existing cables, adapters and any connection errors.

Your questions

  • Functions to retain and parts needed
  • Unknown details can be marked Not sure
  • Separate included, required separately and optional components.
  • Confirm quantities, document revisions and unresolved questions.
  • Confirm destination, availability and agreed service scope.

How selection works

  1. Share the application and requirements.
  2. Review the hardware, wiring and information still needed.
  3. Define the supplied configuration, required extras and support scope.
  4. Confirm availability, destination and the itemized quote.

Establish the control boundary

An engine-management project includes the original ECU, vehicle systems and any new controller. Define which device controls each function before comparing product names.

  • Record injection, ignition, throttle and idle requirements.
  • List dashboard, transmission and security functions to retain.
  • Separate confirmed requirements from assumptions.

Output: a function and I/O worksheet.

Design the connection path

A universal harness, vehicle adapter, sensor branch and communication cable serve different roles. Review both endpoints and the installation route rather than choosing only by connector shape.

  • Record connector part numbers, cavity numbers and viewing direction.
  • Identify supplied termination, loose wires and installer responsibilities.
  • Check branches, mounting space and service access.

Output: a wiring scope and connector checklist.

Match sensing and communications

Review the ECU, sensors, software and tuning interface as a system. Pressure units, sensor calibration and communication support must match the actual hardware generation.

  • Record sensor labels, range, units and calibration references.
  • Identify the software generation, firmware and computer system.
  • List existing cables, adapters and any connection errors.

Output: a version and interface record.

Agree the supply and handover

Convert the reviewed requirements into an itemized proposal. Physical goods, installation work, calibration and ongoing support should each have an explicit boundary.

  • Separate included, required separately and optional components.
  • Confirm quantities, document revisions and unresolved questions.
  • Confirm destination, availability and agreed service scope.

Output: an itemized scope ready for confirmation.
