This adapter adds an RS-232 serial connection to a computer's USB port for compatible legacy tuning interfaces. RS-232 uses different electrical levels from TTL UART, CAN and K-line. The chipset and driver must be identified before promising operation on a particular operating system.

Questions about USB to RS232 Adapter
Is an RS-232 adapter a TTL USB lead?
No. The electrical levels differ. Use the interface required by the ECU rather than adapting connector shape alone.
Can Windows 11 / macOS support be guaranteed?
Not before the chipset and driver are identified. The tuning application's own operating-system support must also be checked.
Will any USB or nine-pin adapter work?
No. Confirm voltage level, protocol, pinout, driver and tuning software. A connector shape does not establish electrical or software compatibility.
